It's Christmas here in western Colorado, and the time is about 9:40 p.m. I have to make a trip down to the newspaper to format my sports section, and when I return I will look forward to adding to this post. It's been a good Christmas!!

Alrighty, It's nearly 1 a.m., and I'm back home.
Christmas was great this year, and we have much to be thankful for.
On Christmas Eve we went to my brother's house in Grand Junction (Colorado) and had a family get together. This followed a very nice afternoon church service. The entire immediate family was at my brother's house!! Myself, my wife, our three kids and one spouse, the six grandkids, my brother and his wife, and their two sons, and wives.
Then, on Christmas, we had our daughter and oldest son, as well as five of the Grandkids, at our house for dinner.
It's wonderful to get together. We don't do it nearly enough.
Regarding gifts, of course the grandkids did especially well, and loved every moment of it.
As far as coins are concerned, I received the following:
Buffalo nickels, 1921, 1928 S, both VF.
2006 Canadian 25 cent coin, commemorating the Queen's 80th birthday, featuring a colorized royal state crown on the obverse. We had seen the crown and the crown jewels when we were in England last spring, so the coin had extra significance for us.
The
Royal Canadian Mint 2005 annual report, with the 2005 commemorative nickle encapsulated and embedded in the front cover.
2006 Canadian Special uncirculated set.
2006 Official Canadian Two Dollar Coin Card. The card pictures polar bears, with two $2 coins, one a "First Mint Mark Coin," and the second a "Final Non-mint Mark Coin."
2006 Oh Canada folder with all seven of Canada's circulating coins.
Quite a wonderful Christmas, and I hope all CFF members had a great and rewarding Christmas also!!

Another Up-Date.
Although my birthday is tomorrow, my daughter gave me some gifts today, including a DVD and three
Buffalo nickels -- 1916 Fine, 1917 Fine, and 1913 Type 2 Fine.
My wife intends to give me some cash, and it will likely go for coins.
Again, I hope all CCF members, and everybody in general, had a great holiday season!!
