This Christmas was the awesome! My Daughter is a little over one year old and we had a blast. She got a plastic piggy bank with large plastic coins. Not worth much numismatically, but you have got to start somewhere! I gave my nephews some Christmas silver rounds to go with their steel pennies and Morgan dollars. I got a VG 1859-O S/L Half Dime from my wife that was a total surprise. I am glad to hear that everyone had a good Christmas and I hope that the New Year is great as well!

Hiya. Hope everyone had a great Christmas.
What I gave:
I received a bonus from work of $700 and gave $100 to my daughter, $100 to my son, $265 to my wife and $100 to my mom. The rest of it went to bills we had to get paid. I am giving away another $50 today to my daughter for clothes she needs. I bought my dad a new pillow and pillow cases from Bed, Bath and Beyond for $40. Got my sister and her bf a Pink Floyd dvd because I had ran out of money by then but they were happy with it.
What I received were presents that were thoughtful and aren't much but the love connected to them mean more to me than anything. I got Avon aftershave from my dad. A dvd movie from my sister and her bf. A t-shirt from the wife and with any of the money I had left from above I finally bought myself a 7" chef's knife I have been wanting for years. My wife also bought us a couple of dvd movies with her $100 bonus.
I give most of my bonus away because it makes me feel better to do that than to spend it all on myself.
Peace to all and I hope you all had a super Christmas. After my sons basketball games are over in February I plan on trying to make it back here a little more often again.

My Wife and I spent the day together, I cooked Christmas Dinner ,,Turkey and all the fix'ins,, we exchanged a few gifts of necessisary things,, and a couple of non essentials for my wife from me.
Most of our available Christmas Budget went to the Grand Kids,, They are the treasures of our Hearts !!
I sent my secret Recipient a gift ,, I have not heard if it has arrived or not,, But needless to say it was coins !! Purchased from Forum Moms auctions especially for the occasion.

Hi all, glad to see the Christmas Spirit of Peace working in so many families...thought I would share the numismatic part of my Christmas... As for receiving, the super Morgan $ from my secret Santa...I sincerely hope this becomes a tradition here.
As for giving, I found 5 little pirate treasure chest-looking boxes and put in a little mesh sack full of about 25-30 Sacs, Susan B's, and Ikes with a couple of Kennedys thrown in...Each of my 5 grandchildren received one, and reports are that they are really thrilled with "Paw Paw's treasure chest". These are all spendable circulated coins they have never seen before for the most part, my goal is to generate a little group of young collectors...
Peace to All, Dennis

I gave my dad a gift certificate to his favorite coin store, and he gave me a Proof San Francisco Mint commem that I had been secretly (or not so secretly) drooling over. I also got a mp3 player (still trying to figure out how to use it) and some cash- that's probably going toward's next season's hockey tickets! The best part was that my family actually seemed to get along this year, things are prickly at best between Dad and his brother. That and I got to see all but two of my cousins, and got to talk on the phone with one of the absent ones! Rachel

As with every year I give 15 Proof and 15 Uncirc sets to each adult at Christmas. So far I've been doing this for about 20 years or more. So far no one has ever said thanks. I think most still don't know what they even are. Relatives?

I didn't receive any coins this year, nor did I give any except secret santa, but I did receive the blessing of counting my blessings.I thank GOD for my son,my life, the roof over our heads, and the gift of great friends, and most of all the LOVE of GOD.It seemed everything was going crazy for awhile, but that's the great thing about CHRISTMAS,you suddenly find yourself taking in a deep breath of fresh crisp air,and find yourself being blessed by just what's in front of you, those things you take for granted. Hope you all had a great Christmas, please take a moment to stop and hug your loved ones, and let them know how blessed you are, just because they are who they are.
:) Sandra.

Hi Sandra, Happy New Year to you and your family, those ar some very fine thoughts that you have just posted. We have just had, and are still having, three days of rain after almost four years of drought. The greatest present in the whole world. Glad you enjoyed the coins. regards,

I know what you mean Carl. Every year I gave my brother a proof ASE and then one day he came up to me and gave them all back and said he really didn't like coins. Go figure!
