Hi all guys, I've found a 6 pences Hoggey Money in an old box.
I saw on internet that these coins are almost all fakes :(.

Is this coin a fake?

The coin is a replica as opposed to a counterfeit. The engraving on the die is actually quite unlike the originals. It is a common "Tourist type Replica".

The coin is ruined but it wasn't sticked to a magnet.

So it's surely a fake like I guessed?

Well, the main indicator of fakeness to me is the round shape. Genuine coins from the early 1600s, of any country, are rarely perfectly round.
