I have no idea what VAM this coin is but its hard not to love the 1880-S-1881-S Morgans in high grades because they are some of the sharpest struck and most affordable in higher grades coins of the series. I guess thats why allot of people use those dates as a type coin

Hey Cmcart, If I where you I would find a raw something cheap type coin that would be worth slabbing. Send it off to PCGS and have it slabbed. The reason behind this is China has been counterfeiting pcgs and NGC slabs. The other option is buy a generic pcgs slabbed coin from someone that you know sent it in. Real PCGS slabbed coins STACK ON Each other the fake ones will not stack correctly on a real one pcgs slab. It is just a cheap way of checking ones bought on E-Bay and other sites to make sure they are real.
I check all slabs at this point and we all should.

Counterfeit PCGS Slabs have been coming out of China the fakes do not stack up right on Real PCGS slabs (holder) They have made copies that are very good and from time to time you find ones that the tracking number will match up with a real coins ID that I think they pull off the internet.
If you have a real PCGS slab.. take it with you and stack it on one you are looking to buy, or if you buy one off the Bay it is just a good way to do a fast check. If it doesn't fit something is wrong. This only works on OGH's and newer BTW
