Thank you! Have always loved the aesthetic of Mercury dimes, even though they are later than most of what I am leaning towards. Either way, it is about to instantly become one of the most stunning coins in my collection, regardless.

I look at it this way - I'm only in for about ten dollars, and once I see it in person, I'll figure out if it is worth the other gamble of grading it. Comparatively, it does not look any different than the mid-to-high MS FSBs that I am seeing online. Better chances than a lottery ticket, and probably more fun waiting to see how it plays out.

Bought from the LCS. I plan on turning them for a profit, but might keep the 1881-S for a while because it's so nice.

Nothing special but this coin arrived in the mail today and I must say I like the design much more in person! The clamshell case it came in is a nice touch too. They didn't have that for the last commemorative I ordered a few years ago.
