I've been giving some thought to what I'd like to buy in 2007. My approach to collecting coins usually lacks organization, but for '07 I'm going to make a want list and try to stick to it. Here's my list so far. American Gold Eagles, various years and denominations, especially the tenths $2.50, $5, and $10 Gold Indians A pre-1800 silver dollar in AU or better Continue Kennedy proof half dollar set Continue US type set May start a proof Washington quarter short set, 1960 to date I'm sure the US Mint will get it's share of my 2007 coin budget What would you guys like to buy in 2007?

Draped Bust Half Cent and Draped Bust Large Cent in VF problem free or better, plus Bust, Seated Liberty and Trade dollars in as good a condition as I can afford. That will finish off my 19th Century type set. Colin

For U.S. stuff, I want to get a VF-EF Draped Bust Large Cent and a Classic Head Large Cent for my Type Set; continue adding a few pieces to my Large Cent and Half Cent collections; and start a set of Bust Half Dollars so I can play with my Overton I also might "bite the bullet" and buy a Buffalo 1 oz. gold piece. Maybe.

Would like to finish off my MS-63 or above Franklin half dollar set. Have 10 left to go and need a replacement for my '49 since it is AU-55 only. That is my goal for '07. In the past I have tried to do too much and this year that is the only goal I am setting to avoid burnout like last year (2006).

Maintain my JFK, Jefferson, Roosevelt, Statehood Quarters, Lunar, ASE, Sacagawea, Maple Leaf and Britannia collections. 2007 Mint Silver Proof Sets. Get in on the ground floor when it comes to the new Presidential Series by collecting proofs. Continue adding to the new sets I've started -- WLH, and Buffalo nickels. Start collecting some Australian denominations by year. Also, I recently became interested in banknotes, so hope to add a few to my very small collection. Add to my medal collection by purchasing the 2007 Knights of the Coin Table medal designed by Daniel Carr. Work on completing, as much as I can afford, my Lincoln Cent and Canadian Cent collections. Finally, I just recently located my old Canadian collections -- silver dollars, half dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels and cents -- and hope to add to them after many years. It's been at least two decades since I last really worked on Canadian collections.

Let's see...more gold, glorious gold! Continue with ASE's and upgrade my Lincoln Cents with proofs. I would also like to finally finish my tubes of Lincolns Cents (only some 60's to go and then ta da)! I also will continue with my Kookaburras and Canadian ML's as well as other "foreign" gold and silver collectibles and commens. Just today I received a North Korean 1 oz silver that I swore I'd never collect but, it is interesting and a Belize 1 oz silver with a pic of a Mayan King - really cool and an 1883-O Morgan in XF condition that I probably won't keep. I will probably pick up a few of the Presidentials and ofcourse, more commemoratives and anything with another Wolf on it...and so it goes...another year to collect!
