It's Guadalajara mint. Calbeto-107. Lions give it right away. Pretty distinct for that mint.

At least I found easily where this one comes from : Soler y Llach - last auction - Lote: 3790 FERNANDO VII. 8 Reales. DURANGO. C.G. Fecha no visible. Cal-Tipo 99/100. MBC-. Sold for 32€ (that's cheap !)

Price is about right for a later Durango (not particularly rare) in this condition... no date basically makes it a cull.

By the way, I guess we should link back to this earlier thread about the Durango War of Independence pieces (1813 vs. 1815), just for reference: https://goccf.com/t/100730Kopeiki's piece would have to be 1818, yes? Assayer RM is shown for 1811-13, and then once more in 1818. The bust is not crude like the early style, so that would make it 1818. Following from that, the piece I posted is probably also 1818, maybe 1819. In general, the busts from 1820-22 seem to be modified, of the more regular style closer to the "standard" portraits (Mexico City, Potosi, etc.). So, that would apparently make this 1818 or 1819, and to my eyes, the bust is just about identical to the (1818)-RM just discussed. Jfransch, I think the one you posted may be 1819... really just a guess after some quick comparison. Again, seems to be of the 1818-19 style... Just reviewing a few dated pieces, certain style elements seem to me to be more akin to some 1819 pieces I see.

Just a small update on the 1815 vs 1813 coin linked above. NGC took a few weeks investigating the coin and having it looked at by their independent expert. It ended-up being slabbed as 1813, which I still dont completely agree with. At least they were in-line with what my grade opinion was - XF45.
Realeswatcher, I agree that both yours and my coin linked above are likely 1818. Jfransch's is definitely a later date (1818-19). One of the telling features is the ribbon hanging from the hair. I've only seen the "split ribbon" effect on the examples from those years.

@RoyalBaber - thank you for the compliment. I appreciate a nice original skin on my coins. In terms of what I collect, you can see 90% of my collection by clicking the link in my signature below. 1772 - 1824 Mexico is my passion. Specifically war of independence.
