Kinda expensive science experiment! You used to be able to send shredded bills back to the bank of Canada. Don't know how they would respond to a pile of goo!

Only the see through strip shrunk. the rest of the bill was still good. I thought maybe I would see lightning flashs from it, but nothing spectacular happened. Exchanged it at bank for a new one, the tellers had a laugh.

You can afford to do that when you sell varieties for 10-100x what you buy them for

LOL...just kidding

Did you take a photo of the end result?

Personally I like a deep freeze better and having cold hard cash. The warm gooie cash is not for me.

Nuke a 100 loonies along with the $100 bill and see if you get different results. Also, use the high setting.

I am not surprised about the humour. A shrunken mylar banknote DOES look comical!

If the note is still complete, and completely readable, there is no reason why a bank will not give you full value for it.

Most cash register operators however, would baulk when a shrunken banknote is tendered.
