Hi all, have had this tucked away with my baseball cards and forgot about it. Can I clean it with brasso? And is it worth much?

Sure some brasso, some steel wool, & maybe a belt sander.

Just kidding - don't clean it - you will destroy whatever value it does have. I'll let an expert chime in on it's value.

Wow! Brasso? Really? LWC are copper, not brass.

Ok, (breathe) do not use anything on any coin to "clean" it, not unless you want to diminsh the numismatic value of the coin.

...and...

This would be a case of NOT "we learn by doing". Glad you asked first, and ALL questions welcome...pertaining to coins, currency, medals, and other numismatic items.

Not sure if you are new to collecting or not, but you may think cleaning old coins make it jump in value. It won't, and it's a big no-no to clean coins, except in special circumstances, and this isn't one of those special circumstances.

I would put it at F/VF.
