Hi guys I hear everyone grading lots of coins, well guess what, I am lost when it comes to grading anything....NOW, the coin below (1943 Tombac)I would grade as VF...Am I way off...? Thanks  Edited by wert 11/20/2011 9:36 pm

Wow SHAFTA9a....Was I ever off...! Shows you how much I know (or don't know) about grading coins.Sorry about the bad scans... So EF, I presume means extremely Fine...Correct...? So AU means what...?

Hi Wert, nice coin. EF is about right. AU stands for Almost Uncirculated. When you go shopping at ebay, you'll notice a lot of sellers using BU, which stands for Brilliant - Uncirculated.

The reverse looks great BUT you need a photo of BOTH sides in order to give an accurate grade. The grade comes from the lesser of the two sides not the better. Do you have a photo of the obverse?
