AU-55, what's that little 'red' spot on the Kings chest?

Beautiful coin. I'd buy that for a dollar. Obverse MS-63 ,Reverse MS-60.

Sorry, but not a chance ICCS would grade that coin an ms63 or ms64.
Definite AU55 or 58.
Maybe a long shot at ms60.

If this was an Aussie coin I would grade it aUNC- UNC cleaned at one stage. It looks like it has been diped at one stage and is comming back. All in all a verry desirable coin

Technically it's a AU55 cleaned in my opinion. It's a great strike and might make 58 but it has some annoying bag marks so I don't think so. Really nice obverse with great stand out details. I'll let it sit in a special box for a year and look at it again.

I know what you were thinking DBM , I could tell I assure you your heart was in the right place and knowing that I decided to put it in a special a place so it doesn't develop that crappy brown black toning cleaned coins often get. It will get a normal patina instead within a year. It was too good to melt, now it became too good to move along and became a re hab project.
