drnsreedhar kindly mentioned a few weeks back that he might be able to help me identify some older coins from India that I have. I have taken pictures of the first few and thought I would post them in the hope that perhaps drnsreedhar might be able to help identify them. Also any indications of possible rarity or value would be much appreciated. I will only put up a few at a time....

The first is kind of fun looking...my grandfather labeleled it as Bombay District 1703. It is perhaps 3/4" across. I am guessing he labelled these around 1950. I have no idea what he used for information to label them.

The next coin is very small...about 1/4" across. It is labelled 1 anna silver circa 1500.

The last one is labelled "temple coin, 19th century, east india? Hindu coin"

Next are two similar coins labelled Shah Ala {indicipherable] 1100.

1st Coin, I am not sure. My guess is it is Mysore issue.
2nd coin seems to be a 1/2 rupee from Indore. KM 43, 73
3rd coin seems to be a temple token
4th coin seems to be a Pice from Bengal presidency. Issued around 1829-1831. KM 54, 56, 57 are examples of this coin. Can't read the year clearly.

First coin is as brokencompass has identified a Mysore coin, Tipu Sultan, Nagar mint.

Second one is Indore for sure, but denomination will depend on its weight.

brokencompass has rightly identified the temple token and the Bengal presidency coins. Thanks.
