Here is my latest purchase. I found it at a local coin show and was estatic when I found it. This Morgan has mirror like surfaces. It has one bag mark. I am thinking MS64.

Nice pick up. Mark on the cheek, below the chin and in the obv field at 3-4 o'clock a little distracting.MS 63 and might reach 64.
Congrats!

Easy MS64, IMO, with luster to spare!

Agree with MS-64+ if you get a nice TPG they might slab it 65 due to all that booming luster

I agree with the postings above. I think it might have a shot at MS-65 not to big of a gamble in the price differences between MS-64 and MS-65 I would go for it. It also depends on how much you paid for it + slab cost = Hopefully for you MS-65.

Thank you for all the input.
I paid $60 for the coin. So I can't lose. I will have it slabbed and hope for the best!

Keep in mind, if it comes back MS64 (as I think it would at best - that mark on the cheek is too prominent), you'll have a $75 coin. Is the cost of grading justified?

Good looking coin with great luster. I don't think PCGS would give it a 64, but its still a looker.

Nice MS64, but will not get PL designation. It is flashy but there is not the depth or clarity in the reflectiveness of the fields to get such a designation. Nice coin nontheless!

Forgot to mention my main reason for MS64 grade. The 'gash' on the cheek is too severe. Wrong place, and too deep. That is what it looks like in the picture. Perhaps you can shoot a closeup of the cheek with the coin outside of the flip.

I'm seeing a MS63 coin with great luster, but beyond the hit on the cheek, also the rim hits under the chin at the neck and in the field behind the head and below Morgan's initials. Different lighting cold change my mind :-)
