Ah I wish that could help me! Unfortunately many Thai coins don't show the date when they were actually minted. The coin above says BE2525 (1982) but there were also coins produced with the same date in 1984 and 1985 - and that's not the worst of it; in some cases this went on for many years. For example, the 10 satang coin was produced for thirty years without a date change, so all the coins of that denomination minted between 1957 and 1987 carry a date of BE2500 (1957). The only way to know the difference is an occasional variance in mint marks. Very frustrating place to deal with!
