The Madras Presidency Fanams and Pagodas are all silver.

"Fanams" and "pagodas" are two different coins; we'll need some more information in order to help you. Pictures would be nice, as well as size and weight info.

The gold pagodas of the Madras Presidency date from the late 1600s to the early 1800s. They weigh about 3.4 grams and are typically 10-12mm across. The star pagoda is particularly sought after here in Australia, being one of the "proclamation coins". Fanams are smaller and lighter than pagodas. Gold fanams and gold pagodas were also struck by the Mughal Empire and by some of the wealtheir minor states.
