Or those pesky Ferengi modern varieties that are so difficult to track from deep space 9.

What? You have forgotten that they use Latinum which is rather common on all Planets every where.

I do not upgrade my coins; that is, once I fill the hole, it is filled forever. I have a sentimental attachment to every coin, so I am reluctant to let any of them be replaced.

jbuck, I do just the opposite. I start an Album and almost as fast as I can, I start upgrading that one. I only do that when I acquire an additional Album to put them in though. This system does get irritating though. For example my Lincoln Albums, now up to 10. If I should get a fantastic high graded one for set #1, I now move the one from #1 to #2. Then the one from #2 to #3, #3 to #4 and on and on and on. Mercury dimes now up to 12 and same problem.
Almost every coin Album has multiple ones right behind them. Just can't stop adding Albums.

Thanks, Amr.
I'll stop checking the mail box every day then.

I am sorry my friend for keeping you waiting but I thought you would like a little surprise added to the package

Once those albums are done, my goal is to start the high end Eisenhower dollar set. I will focus my time and other resources on completing it (while keeping my modern issues current). Keep in mind that this is in the far future, since it most likely will not happen until after the 7070 is completed.

That will be a set I would enjoy seeing jbuck.

This is a set that will be photographed and shared as it is built!

I have a lot of anxiety about photographing my Dansco albums, but this Ultimate Eisenhower dollar set will be photographed from day one, allowing me to focus on each and every coin as it is acquired.

It seems that I am not the only one who thought about a "Retirement set", although that you have already decided what it will be ...... I am still trying to take a decision, but I still have time till I start it..... as this has to be started after I complete a 100 year set of Egyptian coins including all denominations, dates and mint marks

I'm now back to quarters, but I'm now only looking for high-end quarters!

so are you replacing the low grades with high grades or you are starting it all over again keeping the completed one aside?

So you can say that you are specialized in Albums ..12 albums of Mercury dimes... this is a very huge set to complete

I was going to throw a mention to you "I do it this way, unlike just carl, who does this..." But I figured you would chime in on your own. I am glad you did.

I'm all over the place, collecting anything I can get my hands on.
I seem to go in spirts of favoring different sets, until I hit the usual
keys and I move on. I really should stop buying stuff and get these sets finished
but as soon as I come to a $500 or so coin I get cold feet and can't wait so I go with commons in another set.
I realize it's not the best way to go but I'm impatient I guess.

No, I'm merely upgrading my collection and moving the lower-end coins into my album named

"whenever I actually get to a coin show and/or a coin shop, I'll try to trade or sell 'em"
