Got a box of dimes, two boxes of nickels and 460 in halves over the last 3 days, only the dimes disappointing.... Wife and I have been coin roll hunting primarily for silver, but that leads to wanting to fill folders just to make it a bit more interesting.... she's really digging filling the holes. Here's the good goodies from the the past few days two dateless buff's (found by the loving wife, and I'm jealous!) we each found a War Nickel, and two '67 halves. edit; realized one of the "war" nickels isn't a War Nickel.... now I gotta hunt down that second War Nickel.... hmmmmmmm Nickels seem to be my favorite, I think it started two months ago when I found a '40 after getting a soda at work.... I know it's nothing "special" but a 71 year old coin from a vending machine is "special". Holdem Edited by holdem 11/30/2011 6:55 pm

Nice finds! That first '67 half looks really nice. Great find on the buffaloes especially. I've not found one of those yet. Three boxes of halves will be waiting for me at the bank tomorrow. Hope I find some keepers like you seem to be doing.

A 1940 nickel from a vending machine is nothing to sneeze at. I'll take that find any day. Good to see the wife is interested too, sounds like she is your best find to date my friend.

It may just be me, but that buffalo on the right looks like a 1920.
Are you sure that you can't make out a date on that buffalo on the left? Do either of them have mintmarks?

Wife was just looking at it through the loop, pretty sure it's a 1920 as well. the 20 doesn't have a mintmark, the other is a D

cool finds! I nam thinking I will have better luck on the nickel front of searching. Though I would love to come across a 40 or 90% silver half. Very nice finds, I too am trying to get my Fiance soon to be wife into coins.
Oh her 2 young daughters have no choice they will be coin savers/collectors. I got them some albums to fill from circulating coins for Christmas.
Ps. I am what some call ( peppering there piggy banks) replacing pre 1999 quarters into statehoods I find. Going to be fun when they see how many they already own.
