Ok all! I have a question here. I am currently looking at a 1999-2009 proof clad statehood set in a dansco album for $75.00 at my local coin/hobby shop. ( 56 coins in total).

I have seen them sell for $1.25 or so each on ebay but wanted to see what others thought about this.

Eh, I dunno about that. But keep in mind that the Dansco is about $25-$30 new.

I have put this set together in both clad and silver proof coins.

The album #7146 date set, is one quarter for each year 1999 - 2009
If bought right you can order it online between $15.00 - $20.00

The coins, if bought right you could get in the $1.25 range,
except the 1999 and 2008 .. those two years I paid more for.

So $75 is not a bad price, if you want one .. I would not say
this is something to invest in for profit. But, I don't think you could
go out and buy the coins and album and put it together for $75.00

I like State Quarters and have a couple each of all the State Quarter
albums that Dansco offers.

You can always dicker on the price. The wholesale price of the Dansco book is about $15 bucks. Make an offer for $65 and see how it goes.

if you want the State Quarters go get them in silver. they will be an investment and only go up in value.

trust me if you get the clads one day you look back and say... ishould have paid the extra bit and got the silver ones !

I got my 99`s in pr69ucam from ngs and the other years in the ogp `s all in silver they are sweet looking quarters.

Thanks all, It was thought of as a small investment but agree the silver ones would be better!

I'd like to have that discussion of clad vs. silver... won't choice clad proofs carry their value forward since they aren't that popular now? or do you think they'll always hang around and the silvers will be worth more because of the silver content?
