I have not, but I fail to see why anybody would. You can beat their prices on practically every item. Take for instance the 2011 US Mint Set that they are asking $48.95 for. This is still available through the mint for just over $30. You can 100% of the time get a better price on ebay.

ebay can be very reliable if you are knowledgeable and careful.

I work at Moderncoinmart. What would you like to know? Are they reputable? How about thousands of orders in the past week, all filled and sent within two days?

if you watch the sellers feedback and try to stay away from china I have had alot of good luck on ebay. I wouldn't buy a $1200 coin from someone with feedback of 1 or overseas though. rob

There's nothing wrong with modern coin mart. They have a huge following and many satisfied customers. It's just like any other dealer, some low prices some high prices, but it's a reference point and a dealer with constant inventory available if there's something needed. Yes some prices can be beat at other venues...but availability and service may vary greatly.

MCM is a great company and I would not hesitate to do business with them. I also have bought and sold MANY hundreds of coins on ebay and only encountered a couple of dorks. It is like the real world...lots of good people and a few dorks...

GovMint is overpriced, I've heard nothing bad about MCM.

Hadn't realized you work for them, Chuck. As far as I'm concerned, if coppercoins is willing to associate his name with Moderncoinmart, that's all the recommendation I'd ever need. Of course, the fact that they're also one of John Maben's companies (hadn't known that either) would have been enough. Guess this exposes my level of knowledge of Moderns.

I have purchased from GovMint in the past. Most of their stuff is overpriced but they had a few things I needed for my collection (foreign 1 oz silver). My only contact with MCM has been answering their ad in Coin World where they advertised they were buying gold. I had several pieces to sell and couldn't get them to return calls or email. Probably a good thing though because I ended up selling them on ebay and probably got more there than I would have gotten. As for ebay, I have used it extensively. Received 1 counterfeit Chinese Panda from an American dealer. And a Canadian that sold several $1 coins stiffed everyone that bought one. Other than that, no problems.
