In the first 2 pics it was hard to see the large bulge created from the Die Deterioration around tghe top 1/2 of the coin.
this is why I think it is Die Deterioration.
Look at the you as well you can see how deep the bulge of metal is by looking at the curved part.

Looks like die deteriation. That is what makes the ring around the area before the rim. Thanks for the extra images. The last one showed what I needed to see.

It's Die Deterioration, but I wouldn't call it extreme - looks pretty normal to me.
