Being a scrap gold kinda guy, I normally just buy junk silver and Morgans (plus a few other things).

But a customer came in the shop today, and I ended up buying these, in addition to a bunch of other coins.

What do ya'll think?

Unfortunately, I hadn't seen the huge rim nick on the 2 cent piece. But, overall....
Rest in Peace

They're beauties, in my opinion. I don't know enough to grade them and I always say that I am not collecting old copper coins but when I see them.... I've bought a couple large cents -- they were calling my name...

Buddy, you hit the nail on the head. I thought these were gorgeous.

Moe, unfortunately, I'm prob gonna move them. Unless I fall in love with them even more.

Very nice! The large cent has beautiful, even toning, while the 2 cent is also beautiful in its own right. Nice grab!

The 1870 2¢ is a nice VF/XF with some rim damage, but a much harder date to find.
The large cent probably grades out at Fine-12.
