the aussie 1977 10 cent piece is a low mintage year, one of the lowest, yet seems to be one of the most under rated coin I have come across in my short coin collecting time. or noodling? buying money to sort through for rare dates or mistakes, well thats what I take it to mean.

After reading this about 10c noodling I got $100 dollars worth along with my usual order of 5, 20 & 50c. I was suprised to find 12x1977 and have to ask are they really that scarce? When comparing them I found 1x 1972 5c in $100, 2x 1971 20c in $300 and 1x 1993 50c in $200. I ont know whether its worth actively seeking out these coins.

1972 had a mintage of 12.502m
1977 had a mintage of 10.94m
very soon I'm guessing the 77 10c will be nigh on impossible to find.
same as the 1985 with a mintage of 2.7m
but this is just my opinion and I have been wrong before

Looks like the 1977 mintage figure is wrong!

1977, I have that in my change, seem easy to get so I don't think it will be rare any time soom. Now the 1914 20 Para from Montenegro, that is harder to get, but not that hard.
