Yes there are reales collectors here. I'm fairly new to them but there are a number of experts.

Spanish/Spanish Colonial silver coinage was of course an important part of the circulating coinage in the Colonies and then the early United States... Contemporary counterfeits of these pieces, which is what John is referring to, also circulated (or at least attempted to!).

John here is a very good collector/student of these contemporary forgeries... John, almost all of the discussion on here of reales coinage does take place on the main "World" subforum, where you posted your other message. Swamperbob and basically anyone else on here you'd be interested in making contact with, from what I've seen, mainly congregate there.
