Hi guys

Can some one tell me if this is a 1948 SDe or LDe coin...?
Maybe a grade of the coin for me, because I am terrible at it.

Thanks for your TwoCentsWorth....TwoCentsWorth (sorry, could not resist)
You think it is SD, Hmmmmm, I thought it looked more like LD, but I AM no expert.
Maybe some one else could shoot me down about my estimate of the size of the denticles.

A to LD

Not the easiest thing to see from the photos, but it is quite clear when the coins are side by side.

I don't know if this will help you, but I put in a picture of mine as an LD, since the SD looks very thin in comparison.

1948-Canada-Cent. Yours looks about the same.

None of the cents shown here as small denticles are in my opinion.I would not send any to be certified, you will be very desappointed.I looked at many of these coins and never found one yet.

When I get home i'll take a nice shot of my 1948 Small dent... cdcoinman the picture littlemoney put up is a nice example of a small dent vs large dent. Also if sent to ICCS I believe they do not distinguish between the 2 as mine in a newly certified coin and is just described as A to Dent with no description saying Small or large dent.

Here is a descent comparison picture. Out of a hoard of about 2500 x 1948 pennies, I picked out roughly 100 of the A points to small denticle. I don't think it is very scarce....1 in 25 by my count, but this is a relatively small sample size.

I think they are more grade scarce... There are very few in MS grade.
