People certify the 2006P magnetic because, with a mintage of a little over 200,000, they are readily salable on
ebay. I probably submitted 40 of the 712. The logo coin is very common so people don't bother certifying it. The 2006P non-mag is extremely scarce. Unless there is a hidden hoard, which seems increasingly unlikely as time goes by, the population certified by ICCS is likely near the actual known population. The first day coin was one that came in a special
RCM holder saying it was struck on the first day of production. Once it is out of the
RCM holder, as far as I am concerned, it is just a regular cent. Certifying it is kind of dumb. It would be like cracking one of the last day rolls of 2012 cents and certifying them.
