Quote: what are the dates on those Moe? Just the usual stuff. 1916 SLQ's, 1916-D Mercury dimes, 1877 Indian cents, and a 1921-D Walker.

It looks (to me anyway), the 2 SLQs are 1929 & 1925, the Walking Liberty half is 1943, the 2 Mercs are 1944 & 1941 and the IHC is 1905. Not only are they all worn, polished, and have holes poked in them, but they are also bent outwards from the middle of the coin. Oh, and they are welded together with a pin soldered on the back. It does show that many people considered these coins so well designed and beautiful they wanted to wear them as jewelry. You don't see many people doing that with today's designs.

WOW! who would do such a thing to these beautiful coins. Strange how some people don't know the value of such beautiful coins.

Honestly though the value isn't that much anyway. And back then this would have been fine to do, there were so many of those coins floating around

Your all looking at this all wrong. The thing to do is lie to yourself and say things like: 1. Probably all fake coins. 2. Photo shopped photo and not real pictures 3. All reverses were completely gone anyway. 4. Better than melting them down.

Although I love coins, I see nothing wrong with this, they are still beautiful coins made into art, nothing wrong what that, its not like they are super rare key dates, just old coins and there are enough of them that the few made into jewelery wont dry up the market.

Well, maybe these will help promote the hobby a little. It is sad to see damaged coins though.
