Hi guys

Look at this pics, both are essentially the same design, but the 1951 half has one extra line...Is this anything to worry about...?

Hi wert. You will find those inconsistencies even in the same mint year. In many cases the narrow or wide date, high four or low four, etcetera will affect some of the design details.

Die polishing and Die refurbishment quite often removes the design details that you highlighted. As staircase pointed out, that could happen in any given year.

Wert, on the contrary, always check those details, as many years have some oddities that are not common from one year to another. In particular is the large number of varieties associated with the date itself. For example, one of those years is 1945. Never give up!

The 1945 Fifty Cent coins are quite interesting. In addition to quite a few date spacing varieties, there are at least ten 5/5 repunches that I am aware of. You shouldn't have any trouble finding some of them.
