coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 12/16/2011 5:03 pm This is a die chip that is getting larger. On the out edges of the devices that is die deteriation. All signs of a die in it's later part of life. BIE's were at one time collected until they determined it was a die chip and not a variety. The chip starts off small and increases in size until the die is retired. Seems like the chipping eventually becomes the size of the devices around it. Then seems to stop spreading.
