I know it's old and decrepit but what do you think it's worth?

Wow, amazing coin. 180K in G4. Clearly this isn't G4, but still, that's a coin you can sell and put nice downpayment on a house! PHEW!

180K is for the Strawberry Leaf of which 4 are known. This is either vine/bars or lettered edge. Still only 1 of 63K minted. Nice addition to your type set.

Yeah it's the vine and bars variety not the strawberry ( I wish). Do you think I could get $1000 for it?

It's in pretty rough shape.. but with the rarity of that coin, and the hotness of old copper right now, it wouldnt surprise me. A Poor-1 sold for $750 last year.. and although it was smoother, yours has a readable date and much better detail. I'd probably say yours is AG3+ imho.

There is another one for sale on heritage right now - it's another Poor-1. You might want to watch it to gauge the market for yours.

I don't think $1000 is out of the question. It has an old cleaning and corrosion but still retains nice eye appeal. Nice!

I'd agree with vermontensium. I'd expect somewhere around $1000 for it. I'd say AG Details as for the grade of it.

An ebay auction just ended that went for $4600, maybe a tad better than this one, but not by much!
