How about a $20 Lib made into a hunter case pocket watch? One of my customers had one.

I use spare (badly corroded) pennies and ½pennies -nothing collectible- to make paper weights. Soak in vinegar to shine them up (HORROR!) and epoxy them together in stacks of 12.
People quite like a paperweight with birth year -bad luck if you were born after 1964. 1946 or other scarce year I can use English penny for reverse.

Extras and badly bent or defaced ones go to a sculptor friend to add to his next bronze melt. (SHOCKING)

These practices are probably nearly as bad as making a watch face from a coin. I think I am actually doing coin community a favour by removing "rubbish".

Jeff
PS Australian pennies are 30.8mm (1.21") diameter copper, tin, zinc alloy. ½pennies are similar but 25.5mm (1")dia.
