So I finally finished my Franklin half collection... now on to proofs. I wanted to attempt sharing pictures of my collection. I will show each individually, but please hang with me. I am new to sharing pics. Heres my first picture. My 1948. I could only get good shots of the obverse... I will keep working on the reverse. Feel free to share your thoughts, opinions on grade, etc!

How can I make this pic larger? I took the photo with my phone, emailed it to myself, uploaded from my desktop...

Congratulations on completing your Franklin set. I too am now focused on proofs but I'm holding out for cameos with eight to go for a graded set. I am particularly fond of the reverse bell and with cameo it's just beautiful. Good luck to you on your quest!

I actually picked up my first proof a few days ago. its a 1955 with beautiful toning and it looks flawless. Zero cameo though... Any thoughts on how I can make my pictures show up larger?

I'm no expert on photos, I use photo bucket and from there I can up load and crop my photos. You may want to review the photography section of this sight for a thread or two that will help you with up loading and enlargement.

The problem is probably with your phone, either it does not take large pictures or they are downsized when you e-mail them. Can you attach your phone to your computer and copy them directly? Way to go! It feels great to be "done" doesn't it? BUT... did you see this where moonlight mint has made an overstrike 1964 Franklin? I am not sure if posting the ink is allowed so just google moonlight mint and go to their online store - page one. I admit I am debating myself - its just for fun...

Thanks all. I will keep messing around with pictures and hopefully have something decent to share. It is cool to have finished a set of such awesome coins. From the first time I saw a Franklin half, I have loved it. I am actually kind of sad to be done. I had alot of fun collecting these coins, especially visiting coin shows with my dad. I have a complete set of BU P and D State Quarters I have been collecting since I was in high school in 1999, but this is different for obvious reasons. Hopefully the proof coin hunting will be as rewarding and fun.
