Stop reading now if you do now want to lose all of your Holiday Joy! I bought myself an 1884-S Morgan AU and from the pictures on ebay it looked like it had been wiped. I was ok with this for the price. I got it today and this thing looks like it has been scrubbed. On top of that I do not think it is the same coin because from the picture it shows a dot on the surface of the lower right of the upright of the 4, I do not see it on this coin. On the upside my gun wholesaler called and said a rifle that I have wanted was finally in stock after being on back order for the past 6 months. So I bought that too!

You can always contact ebay about it. What kind of gun did you get I've been on the look out for a bolt action 30-30 for over a year now. If you find one tell me.

I plan on contacting the seller tomorrow I guess we will see where that goes. I got this: http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/110BAIn the .338 caliber. Tell me what you want coindog, if I do not have it used I can order pretty much anything new. Last year for a boar hunt I picked up the Marlin 336. I was looking at the Winchester 94 as well but the Marlin felt better to me.

ebay is fine for purchasing coins, but unfortunately things like this happen from time to time. The good news is ebay is very heavily weighted in favor of the buyer. You should almost certainly be able to get your money refunded. Have you tried contacting the seller about this first? Do it nicely and don't accuse him of fraud at this point. Just say that the pictures didn't show the level of cleaning. If you have to go to ebay about it just tell them that it was harshly cleaned and wasn't representative of what you saw in the pictures. You'll get your money.

Look at the brighter side. You now know why so few like coins from ebay. Now you too can warn people of the possible problems. Nice gun. Really like that appearance. A bit pricy for me though and I would have taken the 300 W Mag instead. So why the .338? I have the Parker/Hale 300W Mag and costs a fortune to fire that thing. And sorry about that coin.

I love that gun. I am kind of curious about the .338 to. If your just going to be nailing cans why not go with the 308 the ammo is SO much cheaper then either other option. The bolt action 30-30 is the only gun I've been looking for cause its been 30 years since they last made one I cant find one at all.
