Is my understanding correct that a coin in the new anacs holder is problem free? And coins that do have problems are placed in the old style holder labeled with the appropriate problem?

Thank you TLS, so it is safe to buy a coin in an anacs holder. I thought I heard that people are cracking them and replacing coins with others. I understand to buy a coin and not a slab. I am not near a coin shop and have to resort to ebay. It seems most coins are cleaned or have other problems unless they are slabbed.

I buy 95% of my coins on ebay, raw and slabbed.Once you learn the telltale signs of problem coins you can bypass most of them. Try to stick to sellers with a good return policy and exellent feedback. Most the time you will be happy with your purchase.I have bought hundreds of coins and have only had to return two.

The problem that ANACS was said to be having was with their new holder as it was easy to pop open.Anacs said they fixed the problem. I myself have had no trouble with them.

Thanks Terry, Ill try to buy slabbed until my eye can really spot a problem. I believe in the future it will be even harder to find problem free coins.
