With the great success of the top 12 classic US coins I have decided to venture out to another top 12. Starting on Monday January 2, 2012 you have the opportunity to show your 12th favorite coin from the 20th century and then progress each day to your top choice coin.

It's easy to play.

Any coin dated from 1900 to 1999 is eligible!

Coins can be chosen from any country, any mint, regular issue or commemorative, worn to proof, if it's made of metal and it makes your top 12 go for it.

Everybody is welcome, from all over the world, choose your top 12 and get your photos ready for the start on January 2, 2012. Each day after we will post another choice to our top favorite coin on the final day January 13.

Reckon I got a couple to contribute.

Same rules as last time - favorite shots, not necessarily favorite coins.

We'll have to do pre-1900 World next, of course.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some "dark side" coins, I don't get out of the USA much and I would like to see what else is out there being collected.

Canadian, Australian, Britten, Egyptian how about some Cambodian or Isle of man. Bring on you old Francs, Douchmarks, USSR, and Japanese coins, the varieties are endless!

This all starts tomorrow on a separate thread. I'm looking forward to seeing some coins from outside the USA but also I do enjoy American coinage too!
