I just thought I would share what I found. Ebayers get ebay bucks when the win an auction. I normally do not do enough to get more than 2.00 or so per month. So I found this:

Inexpensive-Free-For-Me-Loupes-With-Light

You can find them in 45X and 65X - this is the 65X. I know the 45X can be found for 1.00 and 1.19 shipping, and it comes with small pouch and the needed batteries. Because of the ebay bucks and free shipping, its free! I also ordered, for another ebay buck, 100 batteries for it.

Also, when my wife or I need to order on Amazon, its typical that the price comes just short of the free shipping option. So for a couple of dollars I got this:
Inexpensive-Free-For-Me-Loupes-With-Light

which, again, was free b/c I would have spent more than this on shipping. So Amazon actually let me keep more money than I would have spent and I got this for free this!

No, they are not name brand, but they get the job done and the price is right.

It is always nice to get things for free, but what would you need to look at, at that high of a magnification?

Normally for grading you don't go above 10x and even for RPM and variety/error looking, you don't go above 16x. Otherwise you start seeing things that really aren't there.

Very true - but I got these as a trial and found I like them a lot. I am not sure how they calculate the actual magnification factor on these (if it is legit). I am not really sure the magnification is as great as it says it is. These make it easy to see repunched MMs etc.

I do this regularly anyway... but try to blame it on my meds
