Hey gang, The other day I seen the stamp forum on the left navigation thing so I had a look and decided to drag out another old hobby, and have a look at what I found. Just a shame I didn't put more away Anyone else have any put away and maybe didn't realise..they may be worth more when they ditch the 5 cents

I actually have 5 folders full of stamps but I have no interest in stamps although I will be keeping them. They are 'uncirculated' without creases if they use that term with stamps.

Quote: They are 'uncirculated' without creases if they use that term with stamps. Since stamps haven't really "circulated" since the late 1800s, they use the term "mint".

I have one of those bags (can't remember where I got it though). A family member tells me that they still use them at their workplace though.

Grant, ya hit the nail on the head mate. That's what I was talking about as they are copper bags and how long has the copper been out of fashion

I have lots of these. Sometimes I get them when I ask for 5c bags but most of mine are from bags of 1c and 2c coins from the bank. Doubt they will ever be worth anything but stranger things have happened.

Gee I didn't realise how with it we are in the bush as we've had these bags below for years Didn't realise you can still get the old copper bags..those bags have been away for many years

I received a bunch of those bags about a week ago while searching 5c coins.

Ausjack, I reckon you could be onto something there. Especially if you have some of those coin bags in "mint" condition, I'm sure they would be highly collectable. It actually amazes me that proof sets are worth more with their cardboard inserts and "foams". Using that logic I'm going to hang onto this.... One day it may be worth something
