Picked this one up today. AuctionIt doesn't state it in the auction, but check out what'd written on the flip. Regardless of which it ends up being I need it for my collection. $3 dor the regular proof is a good enough deal, if it DOES turn out to be the silver proof then I scored.

Keep us informed as to what you get. Yes, I'd say you are entitled to receive a silver proof half, as shown.

I hope it is Silver .. that is a very good buy
Just curious .. if your buying clad proofs .. what are you paying for them.
I am thinking about listing a group of them

Don't think that's what I'm entitled to... I think I'm due a clad proof as that's what the auction details specify. I'm just hoping a silver proof shows up. either way I've got a spot for it.

GR58, funny you should ask. I picked up a couple of auctions today for clad proofs. Here are the two auctions ONE and TWOWith shipping it comes out to $2.25 each for 15 with a guarentee of 10 of them being different. Worst case I have 5 to trade best case I end up with 15 different.

When ot comes to auctions, which is considered the "contract", the image or the description? What I mean is, which one can be wrong and not be grounds to say you sold the wrong thing? To me the written word trumps the image. If I were to win an auction and got what was described I would fell I got what I bid on, regardless of what the image showed.

the color looks like silver to me, it has that blue hue color that you see on allot of "silver" proof coins

Here's how I read it. I'm buying the coin in the flip. I'm using the written description. I expect to get the coin in the flip as pictured, but I'm not buying off of the description on the flip.

It's a gamble.
While you could technically file a Paypal "Not as Described" charge back that the coin pictured said silver and you go was a clad which I think is unfair to dealers who list hundreds of coins weekly and may ocassionally put the wrong picture up I hope you get a Silver half and the is the coin the seller intended to sell to you.
