went to my coin shop, looking for silver. I got a 25 cent piece and a 50 cent piece (bullion value on both)and 2 silver dollars, to get my silver dollar collection going. ( 11 so far) all of the coins were silver value

50cent on the left and 25cent on the right

I am surprised a dealer would sell their coins at spot considering bullion sells well over spot on ebay presently. Well over the 9% ebay fee. I guess they won't be bothered with the effort of listing and shipping. Nice coins, I am jealous. All of my local dealers are your stereotypical antique collectors; they double spot prices and they think they are giving you a deal.

Most of his silver dollars in the 60's are bullion value. But most of his other coins are great prices Only thing that was over priced was a 1954 $5 bill, (not devils face) I bought it for $15 and its book value was $12

Yeah, my dealer has a 1949 dollar in EF, lists it as UNC. and tries to sell it for $90. I'm his best customer and the most I could reduce him to is $60 which is still too high. ):

Yeah, Not the best grade, for the 25cent and 50cent, but you can still read whats on it.
