Maybe you are referring to this being a Civil war piece, when that would have some people less numismatic-ally educated to think it is a Civil War token. This is a Civil War era coin though.

Says it is ANACs certified. Yet it is clearly not in a holder?

I see the is a claim that it is an uncirculated coin and that seems wrong.

I would have guessed the way the coin was being held.
I hate seeing coins held in people hands like that for pictures.

I'm pretty sure if the coin is claimed to be certified then a picture of the back and front of the slab is required.

Good eye. I think I missed it and I guess I see it as no more than a copy/paste issue because I would never consider paying certified/uncirculated money for what's pictured. I agree though, accurate descriptions would be nice.

Any ebay sellers of note think this is wrong? I scan the certified listings first mostly for a laugh at the outrageous BIN prices but also to see whats on Auction. These Raw "Certified" listings are becoming a large portion of the certified section. Is it a violation of the rules?

nohope, I thought I'd give a little personal perspective on this issue. The new ebay selling layout is annoying and often it will automatically save info or enter it randomly in a bizarre fashion...for example it was trying to put my coins as ANACS certified and carson city mint for no good reason even though I never picked that...probably because I used that a long time ago with some coin. I went through my newly listed walkers and had to remove it, though god knows how many other ones still have it. It did this even AFTER I removed the information block for those options entirely. It's really just a bug I think....if you see this its probably not the sellers fault.

Alright, well I just found a bunch that were stuck on that, and when I clicked 'revise' on ones that DIDNT have the problem they automatically changed all the settings to 'ANACS' and 'Uncirculated'...ARGH. It keeps putting the grade as MS-67 too. New ebay selling layout is buggy and full of clutter, not seller friendly at all...
