pictures are blurry, and I can't read the text. Maybe we can search for it. What does it say on both sides?

The photos were taken by a friend on his phone, then emailed to me. I know its a 1963 Mexican gold medal commemorating the resolution of a land dispute between the US and mexico. I've done all kinds of google searches for "1963 Kennedy Mexico gold medal", with good results showing the medal and describing it, even some sale history on Heritage, but no where does it list the Gold content.

The 1963 Kennedy Mexico gold medal will give you a good start. Obv is Kennedy and two other fellas, reverse are the US and Mexican flags. Thanks, Jim

So to the price of Gold and/or Silver today, I suggest first taking that to a jewler to see if it's real. So many Gold and/or Silver tokens, medals, coins, etc. are counterfeited today that this one should be authenticated prior to anything else.

the pictures from the phone looks like it is more copper than gold. That could be because of lighting or the camera but just stating what it looks like to me frm the pictures provided

Thanks all, based upon what I found (very little) I think it will turn out to be the gold version of the mexican commemorative. We still do not know what the gold content is though.

I told my buddy to take it to a couple of shops/jewelers for opinions.

Thanks again, Jim
