Picked this up at my local dealer yesterday.....he had a nice selection of graded Morgans to choose from, but this one just kinda spoke to me. Think I got my $210 worth ?

Usually my Morgans get liberated from their slabs, but I think I'll keep this one encapsulated for posterity, since it's a bit of an oddity.

Yeah, I think you got your $210 worth. That's a top-of-the-market price at AU53, but a very much in-demand variety which is about as liquid as a coin gets.

Thanks, SuperDave. This shop must've come into a slew of slabbed Morgans - he had 50 or more on display, many of them in the MS63-MS-65 range.....I was practically drooling onto the glass.

I fell in love with this variety when I first started collecting and had 15 of them when I finally decided to stop buying them. I have no idea what I found so interesting but its strange what you can be obsessed with at certain times

Yes, it's a nice little shop that get LOTS of foot traffic - Abbott's Coins & Jewelry in Birmingham, MI.

Beyond the nice assortment of slabbed Morgans, they always have a whole box full of Morgans in "flips" to peruse.....

I gotta have 2 or 3 hundred bucks in my pocket to go in there....I can always find something that catches my eye.
