I just received this recently:

Unlisted-Korea-1898-1/4-Yang-Variety?

This is not something that I have seen before or even read before in any Korean coin catalog. This is a common 1/4 yang:

Unlisted-Korea-1898-1/4-Yang-Variety?

I don't think it's a counterfeit. This coin weighs 4.67g. What are your opinions on this?

Why don't you think it's a counterfeit? Some details look kinda sloppy to me.

Here's one that's slabbed. This variety must really exist.

My catalogue of Krause states that "Many varieties of character size and style exist for Year 2 Coins." Year 3 has large and small character size varieties, as do MANY of the 5 fun issues. Chinese catalogues generally do not list varieties- if you have access to Japanese catalogues (JNDA), they might do a lot better.
