@JoeyZ76, The 41'S' looks more like a worn punch, that would be my guess from the first blur image. The 45 'P' date doesn't look like doubled die either, as I don't see notching like this.  I remember a past forum member have this 1945 P dime attributed at CONECA. I will post the link as soon as I find it.

https://goccf.com/t/68721Found it! Check it out notice the the 45 in the date has a that extra boldness. The second 4 also have this marking that ends here. As of now there's insufficient record to prices for this variety.

CONECA has 4 different DDO's listed for 45 P. I need to get a microscope. I cant get it in the pic,but I do see a split at the point of the 1 in the date.Thanks for digging up the pics.I have 4 coins to send to Wiles. Heres another shot:

CONECA descriptions: DDO #1-Medium spread on date, designer's initials, with light spread on IN GOD WE TRUST and ERTY of LIBERTY DDO #2-Medium spread on date DDO #3-Strong extra thickness on date, designer's initials, IN GOD WE TRUST, and LIBERTY DDO #4-Light spread on date and IN GOD WE TRUST I dont see any doubling on LIBERTY at all.I am thinking it could be #4

Good call! Thanks for the correction, wish I have coin in hand. LOL! I was looking at the Wexler and Flynn book for reference, and Weinman initial appears it has minor spread. Wexler site don't have the images for DDO #4 for reference either, hoping one day they will update the second edition to Treasure hunting Mercury dimes.

The '9' in the date on the 45-P looks to have a bit of doubling present? Does anyone else see it, or am I looking at this picture wwwaaaayyyy to early in the morning?

i am using a el-cheapo Cannon Power Shot A590 4x 8MP camera. yes the 9 has doubling.the 45 is a DDO coin.
