I check them for errors and varieties. I also keep any that are in extra nice condition before 1960. I used to save all of the rejects until I had 50 and then roll them and turn them in to the bank, now I just mix them in with the Lincolns.

I collect them. Lots of interesting varieties and a challenge to get in high numbers here in California.

I live in New Brunswick, Canada in a border town minutes away from a little town called Houlton, ME and alot of us Canadians go over there to shop so I usually find lots and lots of Canadian change in a bank roll. My record to date is 35 Canadian pennies in a roll. I thought that this was insane but then I found a 1934P and a 1955P in the few other coins that were left in the roll so I didn't dare complain about it. Living here in Canada, I just put them in my other collection and go through them when I go through my Canadian error phase again. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share links to other sites but a great site for checking your Canadian coins for errors is:
