Well, no need to jinx it even if I did just more buying window....
But it seems both metals are in an uptrend, now with silver crossing $30.55 and gold looking like it heading back in the direction of 1675 per oz.....
I had been saying now for months that I expect a CARBON COPY of the push up for gold an silver like last year, with silver peaking first if memory serves me in mind May, and gold later getting close to 2 grand in early fall perhaps....
Five bucks a month for silver an maybe 25 bucks a month for gold, that is the average monthly increase I expect for the next five months perhaps, and if things turn real bad with the debt coming back on us, it may go higher....
Any plans to add more of either, and what if so?
Any thoughts on a continued pattern up, or a pullback to 25 again perhaps for silver and say 1500 or so for gold? Edited by Silverhawk74 01/18/2012 8:52 pm

i would rather see a slower rise than last year and hold what gains it makes but the way the world is going there is no telling what may happen

I'm with you SilverHawk, although I WAS suprised at the end year prices. I am thinking $40 by end of March. That might be a bit optimistic, but surely by mid Summer. Mid to Long term I see a continuous slow rise with peaks and valleys. I'm not a bullion collector per se, I am a Morgan$ trader and Silver prices affect Common Date MS63-65 quite a bit when I'm trading large lots. Also, higher prices are a double edged sword with trading MS Morgans.

Believe it or not for Gold and Silver to raise for now depends as much on overall state of global economy if growth splutters PMs will tank. This because of push to stay liquid by raising cash to offset any losses.

With strong numbers released today about un-employment, the best it has been since 2008, has me wondering what is next for Pm's. I expect a short term pullback perhaps to finish out week, and we will see if that does happen, if it recovers as fast as it has been....

Quote: Believe it or not for Gold and Silver to raise for now depends as much on overall state of global economy if growth splutters PMs will tank. This because of push to stay liquid by raising cash to offset any losses. I can see where that would be the case for some buyers. Other buyers who want to get out of Euros and US Dollars could very well move some money into PMs. Also, Asia is a huge buyer of PMs, so some attention should be paid to their cyclical PM markets. India and China both have favored times of the year when PM sales are stronger than at other times. We seem to have some of that here as well, with spring PM sales and prices tending to be stronger while summer sales tend to be weaker. This is a tendency, though, not a guarantee. Hawk... the ceiling of $1650 in the gold price seems to be converting into a floor while the $30 ceiling in silver is also now converting into a floor. If so, then we should see strengthening PM prices for the next 2-3 months. As always, I would see any pull-back in prices as a buying opportunity.

That would be nice Yotie to silver run that pattern, combined with a recovering economy following at a similar pace. Just don't know if any or all of that is realistic, but a guy or guyz can dream can't they, lol....

I like an buy the new ceiling an floor angle ED. My brain was fishing for similar wording and failed to find an accurate comparison and just got side tracked an never mentioned it....
Gotta be careful tossing out words around here like "support levels", lol....

Well, it's $31.54 as I'm posting. My end of the year Silver price guess was $31.34 I think, and it took 3 weeks to get there. Oh well...Onward and upward....

I hate when Silver ends the week on a high note. Every dealer now thinks silver is going to skyrocket on Monday and buying over the weekend is almost impossible.

Where are you buying your silver? I have never had this problem. The same premiums hold over the weekend. All online dealers hold their prices over the weekend too.

You know sometimes I get stupid and silver is at a price I agree with. However I think lets wait it is moving around and just maybe some more time and I will get it cheaper. It never works it always goes up.

I was surrfing on ebay, an spotted the guy I got that 2 oz. Goldas bar from, with some 3 oz. versions listed. Again Swiss silver, just as nice as PAMP, just no fancy artwork, just says Goldas on the front, and a computer chip on the assay card, chip silver.... Anyhow, his prices are dirt cherap for eaby, 113 total, so I grabbed it, so just 37 an some change per oz., and that is not too shaby for ebay, five bucks over per oz., on assay carded silver.... And, I have been wanting a 3 oz. bar bad, oddites I like....
