Nothing really unexpected...but a couple of coins with stories.
The 1943/2
Jefferson nickel was found while roll searching with my mom, about 15 years ago. My mom passed away unexpectedly several years ago, so, this one is VF/ES (extra special - borrowed from another member here).
The 21 Morgan...hmmm...thought it would come back at least 63. 81 S...I thought 63. But, it is a nice coin.
The 1911 S & 1914 D were purchased together, in 1988 or 89. That was the first time I was almost divorced. I paid $295 for the pair. I knew the 14 D would not go XF45, but it is a NICE, problem free coin. I thought the 11 S would go 62 or 63. Another nice coin with lots of luster and some red.
1909 VDB 65 RB - picked this up at a coin show. Absolutely hammered strike and wire rim. I SOOOOOOOO hoped this would come back as a proof. If so, THEN I would have bought a MS64 09 SVDB for my collection. Oh well. :)
Of note, I don't remember sending two 1913 Type 1
Buffalo nickels in. I will have to check when they arrive.
I thought that I did send in a superb 1942 D
Lincoln Cent, but it is not on the list.
