What would you do with your account after you die? In other words, what's gonna happen with it?

I'll let em fight over it or spend the stuff in vending machines...I won't care and it would be cool for the roll searchers

I am currently the only one in my family that collects coins. If no one wants my collection after I die, I will leave instructions to contact CCF Consignment.

If I could I would leave everything to somebody I thought DESERVED it. "Desreving" may have several different meanings. But I'm sure you guys know what I mean!

There's one forum that's permanently sticky because of the death of the user. I wonder how the moderators knew the user was dead.

Quote: There's one forum that's permanently sticky because of the death of the user. I wonder how the moderators knew the user was dead. Now that is obvious. The user called and told them he was dead. Quote: I'm not gonna do anything with it after I die,,,,,cause i'd be dead AAHHHhhhhhhh another pesimist. I'm a optimist and predict after I go, I'll stick around anyway just to make sure none of my Mercury dimes end up in vending machines. I really try not to think of what will happen to everything I own. Not just the coins but everything. Think I will take it with.

Find a young collector that I can mentor a bit, and he/she can show me that they are truly interested in coins, and then leave it to them.

My kids have no interest in coins at all, in fact, I'm pretty sure they're anti-coin because of all the time I've spent talking about it not to mention the trips to coin shops where they stand around bored to death. I'm hoping they have paid enough attention to know they should take them to one of the shops in the area but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they tried to stick them in a coinstar machine. LOL
If I don't get killed suddenly, like in a car crash or something similar, I do have some plans. The town I live in put out several civil war store cards and I've been working on a set of those for some time. Again, if there is time, I'd like to attend a major show (just attending a major show is kind of a bucket list thing by itself) and possibly trade or sell most of what I have and work on that store card set. When the time comes I'd like to donate the set to the local library as a display.

are you asking what will happen to youre account on CCF or your coins once you die? I at first thought you were talking about a persons Nickname on the forum when I first read it, but see others thought something else. I am sorry to say we have had a few members that are no longer with us, and usually if those members are a staple of the community, their nick usually gets retired. We actually had one member leave us about 2 years ago suddenly and another big name that I am sure the members have heard of even though they don't know who he was nor never met him, but we have a foundation in his name on this forum that keeps his spirit alive to help YN's get a start in the hobby
