Is it possible for a seller to change the ebay item pictures after the item has sold? I bought a coin that had certain characteristics and received a coin thats close but I'm pretty sure its not the same coin but the pictures on the ended auction look like the one I received.I would blame it on my poor eyesight except for the fact that they have listed a coin that looks exactly like the one I thought I won.

I suspect 13 is going to see if the entire ad is an image, which is the only way I know to change it once you get a bid.

If the picture is linked to an external site then all you have to do is exchange the picture file for one with the same name. If you uploaded it to ebay then that's a different story...

Yep...it is possible. I always copy and save pictures from auctions prior to or at the moment I bid or buy.

It's possible in certain scenarios, when we get a link, I can give a definitive answer for the listing involved.

I'd rather not link his auction on here until I'm sure.I'm working on it through ebay, but I'm 99% sure that's what he did.If I find out thats what he did do,I will list his selling name here. Thanks Bobby for offering.

Yup, I won't post it if that's your desire. But I'll give you a definitive answer.

Geeze. Just highlight part of the listing. If the whole thing highlights, it's all one image. ebay frowns on that.

Doesn't have to be the entire description Fred, if the images are added to the description using html (img src="URL") then all the user has to do is upload a new image with the same name.
