Lots of pictures so you can see the lines in different light.

These lines are called die scrapes. It occurs when the feeder arm accidentally comes in contact with the anvil die.

Pretty cool find.

Are these fairly common errors and are they worth anything?

I assume it doesn't carry a premium and that it's similar to a die chip or die gouge...

I wouldn't call Feeder Finger Damage common, but it is not an ultra-rare occurrence either. A die would not be taken out of service for a small chip or gouge but this would certainly warrant die resurfacing or replacement if severe enough. I would also expect it to have a modest premium.

Well, not to undermine what biokemist said, but sometimes I find dozens of these in my searching.Always tossed them because they seemed pretty common around here, especially on the 2004-2006's.
