Guy calls, wanting to know the price of WL halves. I quote him 25 times in $100 face or more. He rattles his brain a bit and comes up with "then a WL only has about 40% of an ounce of silver, it should be a half ounce". I explain that when they were made, silver was $1.29 an ounce, so .4 oz was worth the 50¢ face value. He keeps repeating that the government was "cheating" us by not making WL halves a half oz of silver. I explain that no one said it was a half oz, they said it was a half dollar. I asked if he expected the gubmint to put 65¢ of silver in a 50¢ coin. I told him if he wanted even ounces to buy ASE. He then asked the price, and I quoted them. Then he asked the price on silver rounds, and I could tell we were going nowhere fast, so I "didn't have any". He then went into some gibberish about how "we" needed to develop free electricity and some other pipe dreams, and how electrifying the ground would allow you to grow bell peppers the size of your head (maybe his head). I pointed out he kept saying "we", and asked which of his great ideas he was working on accomplishing. He mumbled something about free electricty. I told him when he achieves that, be sure to call me, and I'll be happy to pay him for the information.

Good post, Fredd. Some people are simply amazing. You hear what they have to say and then just spend the rest of the day wondering if there is life AFTER birth. My Grand Dad used a pair of 120v wires stuck in the ground to get earthworms to squirm up to the surface. He said it was a lot easier than digging. That worked well but one DOES have to make sure not to do this after a good rain.

Electrified bell peepers the size of my head, and I thought I came up with some crazy ideas, lol....
Oh well he was at least smart enough to take interest in silver, and that puts him ahead of the other 99% of shepal walking around with blinders on in my mind, lol.....

Funny how "Free Energy" seems to be an indicator of kookiness. When they start rambling about free electricity, you know you have a level 8 kook or better.

I love it when I get calls like that. I keep them on the line as long as possible just to see what nonsense they will say next.

"He probably only wanted the silver to use as contacts. Solder a wire on it ,chuck em on the "Charged Earth" and Bingo free electricity" Classic, the only thing better would be if he turned out to be Nikola Tesla reincarnated and it turned out to be the best invention since the Tesla coil.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_TeslaThere is an interesting read, what a brain, what a life.... Most interesting to me his work on the famous Philly experiment and his odd death not long after in 1943 at an old age however of 87.... http://uforeview.tripod.com/teslati...etravel.html

Tesla was a misunderstood genius (especially when he blew up the city's generators with feedback), and oddly enuf, Mr. Nutcase mentioned him, too.
A lot of what he said in his ramblings sounded like the Utopian Star Trek world, where no one but the Ferengeti worried about money, and anything you needed was free.
If he presented some credentials, I might have been more inclined to listen, but I don't give much credibility to some who needs five minutes of explanation for why a half dollar doesn't contain a half ounce of silver.

You should record these calls and use them as resource material for a book. As long as the callers are not identified it should be OK.
